This course is suitable for complete beginners or those with a little experience, you will get plenty of one to one support with your projects as class will have maximum of 2 students.
In this 6 week evening class you will be expertly guided through the design process and all the basic skills of jewellery making including saw piercing, filing, drilling, texturing, annealing, forming, soldering and polishing.
I will take you through a series of introductory projects, so you can get to grips with the tools and materials, and as your skills increase you will learn how to make your individual designs.
You will be supplied with all the tools and equipment needed for jewellery making.
Copper will be provided to practice cutting and texturing. When you feel ready to start working in silver, it can be purchased from me and I will give you guidance on how to buy direct from suppliers.
Please bring a sketchbook to keep notes, handouts, images and designs.
Please wear closed shoes to all sessions for Health & Safety reasons
